I’ve been writing at least one good/silly/happy/grateful memory every day since September 2022.
I originally started doing it out of a frustrated need to find something, anything, anything at all, that was worth sticking around for.
This list of kind exchanges, lucky breaks, moments of love, jokes, achievements, and experiences evolved into a definitive source of proof for whenever my mind gets into more sorrowful spirals.
As though my past!selves are saying, “Look at all the times people have shown you care! Look at what your hard work has reaped! Look at all the little ways you’ve cultivated ease, comfort, joy, and coziness into your life! Look at what is here!”
The bad memories blur away a little easier when the good ones are front and center.
